Achieving Quality

Helping you stay compliant, improving your approach

Awarding organisations and professional bodies face challenges on an ongoing basis, navigating regulatory compliance, maintaining standards and conducting effective quality assurance of assessments or their membership body.

Artemis Associates Consultancy has over 20 years' experience of working with vocational awarding organisations, specifically in the critical areas of:

  • governance and risk

  • quality assurance and audit

  • qualifications and assessment

  • awarding and regulation

And working with professional bodies for:

  • kitemark endorsement and recognition programmes

  • quality assurance of partner programmes

  • codes of conduct

Our Services

Artemis Associates Consultancy exists to advise, support and guide our clients through regulatory audits, governance reviews, and provide an expert objective eye on quality assurance strategies. We advise and contribute to specific projects such as regulatory recognition, including End-point Assessment Organisation transition to Ofqual, T Level ITTs and Centre Assessment Standards Scrutiny (CASS) strategies. We can also support awarding organisations with appeals hearings, and malpractice investigations that require independent oversight and scrutiny.

Unlike other standard professional consulting firms, the team at Artemis has worked within and alongside awarding organisations and training providers of all shapes and sizes, at both senior executive and board level.

Our unique perspective ensures we are able to identify and recommend improvements in operational processes, helping Governing Boards assure themselves of their organisation's regulatory compliance.

About Us

Why Artemis? Whilst we may think that identifying strong female icons is a modern day pre-occupation, Artemis (daughter of Zeus and sister to Apollo) was way ahead of us. A simple search will reveal her as a pretty impressive multi-tasker - something to which many of us aspire in a modern busy working world. Her image is often depicted as an archer, and the analogy was easy to see and adopt: strong, focused, on target... Goddess of the hunt. She is also sometimes depicted carrying a swan - another useful metaphor for those of us who are calm and controlled on the surface, paddling swiftly beneath, unseen.  If you think we can help you succeed, then get in touch.

“As a Board member Sarah brought to the table a wealth of experience of the awarding and assessment industry. As a new CEO, I found her insights and expertise about the nature of qualifications and how to support learners effectively, extremely invaluable.

"FAB has also worked with Sarah as a consultant and we called on her to do a very sensitive piece of work where we needed to gather the views of both our membership and the regulator to explore how a new industry-led approach to centre risks controls could be introduced. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Sarah for her conscientious, diligent and expert work.”

Tom Bewick (CEO, Federation of Awarding Bodies)
